Chris Hinton
Manager, Member Services and Administration

Chris Hinton assumed the position as Manager of Member Services and Administration for the Mississippi Economic Development Council during the fall of 2007. He was an active MEDC member prior to obtaining this position. In addition, he is currently an active SEDC member.
Chris is a graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi's Department of Economic & Workforce Development, where he obtained a Master of Science in Economic Development. He also completed the New South Economic Development Course in 2006.
Having graduated from Tougaloo College, Chris obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with emphasis in Business Administration. During his undergraduate studies, Chris began working with various service and volunteer organizations such as United Way, Boy Scouts of MS, Urban League of MS, Operation Shoestring, Toys for Tots, and Habitat for Humanity, to name a few. He currently serves as a member on the Community Advisory Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi, and he presently remains active in community service.
Prior to working at MEDC, Chris worked for the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services in Disability Determination Services and the Jackson Redevelopment Authority with the City of Jackson. Through this employment, he realized the importance of working to improve the quality of life for residents and employees. This passion sparked his interest in a career in the field of economic development.
Chris currently resides in Raymond, MS. In his leisure time, he enjoys music, reading, fishing, and traveling with family and friends.
