And here’s why everyone will be there . . . !

The Mississippi Economic Development Council is very pleased to announce that
Luann Feehan, Vice President of Member Services of
The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce,
will be the featured speaker at the MEDC Regional Chamber Workshop on March 23.

Luann Feehan

Luann recently spoke at the
American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) 2009 Convention,
and Beth Stevens was there. "Luann has great energy, and she brings a wealth of chamber membership knowledge to her workshops. You will leave with very practical ideas that you can actually take to your chamber and use the very next day!"
Beth Stevens IOM is Executive Director of the Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce and MEDC board member.

Feehan’s presentation will focus on membership retention strategies that work,
“Good customer service from the chamber must continue to be the cornerstone of a successful membership experience—even at a time when chambers are overloaded and pressured to do more with less.”

Also on the program is Jeff Richardson, Director of Customer Advocacy of
Cellular South, major sponsor of the MEDC chamber workshops.  He will take customer service one step further by providing ideas on customer service that chambers can use for themselves and pass along to their business members.

Attendees can plan on networking, sharing ideas, and learning more about the chamber profession in a fun environment.

Chamber executives are encouraged to bring other staff and volunteers so they can also learn what they should be doing to help their chambers be better.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Cellular South, registration costs have been kept to a minimum of $25 per person for MEDC members who are currently in the online database, and $40 per person for any others who want to attend.

“We are certainly looking forward to having our colleagues in Tupelo,”
remarked Barbara Smith, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Division of the Community Development Foundation in Tupelo,
and MEDC’s Vice President of Chamber Development.
“We have planned a great workshop that promises to be a day of information sharing and learning.”
